Co-Founder, Travel Access Project

A few years ago, I was standing knee deep in the Columbia River with my friend Sean Keener, owner of BootsnAll & AirTreks. We were discussing the ways travel had changed us, and our deep belief that travel is an essential part of a well-rounded education. We decided, right then and there, to do our damnedest to get a gap year on every resume. We had no idea how to do it.

We founded the Travel Access Project, which is dedicated to combining education and adventure and making it accessible to everyone. To that end, we’ve done three things (so far):
